Suona Francese

The initiative showcasing French and Italian contemporary music returns for its seventh consecutive year.

Events take place in about 40 cities throughout Italy, although the 80 concerts scheduled mark a decrease from the 130 last year. Supported by the French embassy in Rome and the Institut français in Italy, the programme features music by modern composers and promotes French culture in Italy.

The plurality of musical languages is highlighted in the pop, rock, jazz and electronic music programme which this year focuses on the theme Spécial musique romantique francaise.

While the festival is national in scope many events take place in Rome at venues around the city.
