Opera, ballet and concerts under the stars at the Baths of Caracalla.

The 2019 edition of Rome's annual outdoor opera festival at the Baths of Caracalla also includes several ballet performances and concerts, on summer evenings from 11 June until 7 August.

Organised by the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, the opera, ballet and live music performances are staged under the stars against the beautiful ancient backdrop of the Baths of Caracalla.

The progamme ranges from a six-date farewell by composer Ennio Morricone (15-23 June) and peformances by the Tokyo Ballet (26 June) and dancer Roberto Bolle and Friends (9-11 July) to concerts by Dire Straits frontman Mark Knopfler (20-21 July) and opera favourites La Traviata (19 July-8 Aug) and Romeo e Giulietta (30 July-4 Aug).
