27 Oct-4 Nov. De Natura Sonorum, Rome's first acousmatic music festival, will take place over two weekends at Villa Sciarra, on the afternoons of 27-28 October and 3-4 November.The festival comprises free concerts and seminars featuring the music of some of the most innovative composers of the 20th century, from Stockhausen to Xenakis, allowing guests to discover the "music for speakers."
Acousmatic music is a form of electroacoustic music that is specifically composed for presentation using speakers, as opposed to a live performance. For programme details see festival website.
