13-15 May. Lovers of Irish music and culture can look forward to the third edition of Rome Spring Fleadh 2016: Festival di musica irlandese, taking place in Rome at the Scuola di Musica Popolare of Testaccio and Caffè Letterario from 13-15 May.
The event features leading traditional Irish musicians and is organised by Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann Italia, in collaboration with the Irish embassy in Rome and Culture Ireland. The festival begins on the evening of 12 May with a welcome session followed over the next three days by workshops dedicated to learning traditional Irish music as well as the Gaelic language.
The workshops are led by teachers Conal O’Grada (flute), Jackie Daly (button accordion), Colm Murphy (bodhran), Matt Cranich (fiddle) and Ciara Nic Gabhann (Gaelic).
