4 July-6 Sept 2003. An invitation to music lovers to grab a rucksack and some good walking shoes and follow the many beautiful mountain paths of the region to a myriad of classical, ethnic and jazz music events. One of the venues is a wood known as the "forest of violins" because legend has it that Stradivari himself used the wood from the pine trees to make his instruments; this is where violinist Salvatore Accardo has chosen to play with his chamber orchestra on 17 Aug. You can hike to the venues with the help of the alpine guides of Trentino, who organise free excursions.
