21 Jan. Rome's Nuovo Sacher Cinema screens the restored original English-language version of The Birds, Alfred Hitchcock's classic 1963 movie starring Tippi Hedren, on Monday 21 January, for one day only.

The screenings take place at 15.45, 18.00, 20.15 and 22.30. The 20.15 show will be introduced by GianLuca Farinelli, director of the Cineteca in Bologna.

For those not familiar with Hitchcock's disturbing storyline: "A wealthy San Francisco socialite pursues a potential boyfriend to a small northern California town that slowly takes a turn for the bizarre when birds of all kinds suddenly begin to attack people."
