15 Oct. Fondo Ambiente Italia special events take place across Italy.
The Giornata FAI d'Autunno takes place in 600 historic and cultural locations across Italy on Sunday 15 October.
The initiative takes place under the theme Ricordati di salvare l'Italia (Remember to Save Italy), with guided tours conducted by 3,500 FAI volunteers.
This year the Rome events include visits to the American Academy in Rome, the gardens of Villa Farnesina, the Academia Reale di Spagna, and the garden of Palazzo Corsini within the Botanical Gardens.
Similar to Britain’s National Trust, the Fondo Ambiente Italia (FAI) works to preserve and highlight Italy’s cultural heritage through education, restoration, events and open days.
