Casa del Jazz Festival
12-31 Jul. For the second year running, Casa del Jazz director, veteran jazz event organiser Giampiero Rubei (founder of Rome’s much loved former jazz festival, Villa Celimontana Jazz) draws up a programme that should attract the interest of jazz enthusiasts.
The calendar is shorter than it was last year, but there are a couple of big names, an interesting focus on Jewish Jazz, and a cycle of concerts dedicated to “Guitar Legends”. Robben Ford, the Michael Brecker Tribute Band, John MacLaughlin, Michael Rosen and the Omar Sousa Trio are amongst the names that stand out.
