Lazio’s organic vineyards
Consumers in Italy have often viewed organic wines with suspicion. Small organic wine producers have thrived anyway, but mainly by exporting to countries where there is more demand for their produce. It seems that the Italian market is now getting ready for a greater acceptance and appreciation of locally produced organic wines, whether officially certified or not. This was certainly the message at the launch of the Slow Wine Guide 2011 in March, an event in which 50 Italian wine producers
