Fulbright alumni gather at historic event in Rome

Rome hosts major alumni event for Fulbright Programme in Italy.

For the first time in the history of the Fulbright Programme in Italy, scholars from 1948 - the year in which the Fulbright Commission was created - up to today, will gather together.

The event will take place at the MAXXI Museo delle Arte del XXI secolo in Rome on the afternoon of Monday 30 September.

Organisers say the aim of the historic alumni meeting is to bring together Fulbright ex-scholars, both Italian and Amerian, to strengthen the bond with the Commission and create a community that can contribute to its growth.

The event will enjoy the participation of prestigious ex-scholars who, thanks to the Fulbright experience, have forged successful careers, as well as representatives from Italy's foreign affairs ministry and the US embassy in Rome.

The event will also see the launch of the Fulbrighter app, designed to strengthen the knowledge and collaboration between ex-scholars around the world, based on mutual knowledge and cultural exchange.
