11-20 July 2003. This is one of Europes most important jazz festivals, with ten days of music from morning to well after midnight in scattered venues and out on the streets. Events to look out for are those with Keith Jarret and then the Richard Galliano Sextet (11 July), Caetano Veloso (12 July), Ornette Coleman and then Herbie Hanckock (13 July), Gilberto Gil and Maria Bethania (14 July), Van Morrison and then Joao Gilberto (15 July), Bobby McFerrin and Chick Korea (16 July), Sonny Rollins (17 July), James Brown (19 July).
