Restoration of Caravaggio and Vasari paintings at Doria Pamphilj

28 Jan-28 June. "Dialogues of Art - Caravaggio meets Vasari." The project is dedicated to the restoration of three highly important works in the Pamphilj collection by two great masters of Italian painting, Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio and Giorgio Vasari.

The initiative will permit the general public — usually denied access — to observe the conservation work and restoration process of the precious paintings: Caravaggio's "Penitent Magdalene" and a copy of "St John the Baptist"; and Vasari's "Deposition from the Cross".

The exhibition will include guided visits and a series of meetings and conferences with the paintings' restorers.

09.00-19.00.
