The fourth edition of the Roma Wine Festival takes place in the capital on the weekend of 7-8 May. The event showcases the best in Italian wine production, and offers enthusiasts the chance to sample a large range of wines, participate in workshops and exchange opinions with wine producers.

Featuring 130 companies and 10,000 bottles of wine, with the help of sommeliers visitors can taste over 600 wines from Lombardy, Trentino Alto Adige, Veneto, Tuscany, Marche, Abruzzo, Molise, Lazio, Campania, Basilicata, Calabria, Puglia, Sicily and Sardinia.

On 8 May prizes will be presented in several categories, among them awards for best label, sustainable viticulture, best website and best restaurant wine list. Last year
