Rome welcomes Welsh rugby fans for Six Nations

Weekend of sport, culture and beer for rugby fans in Rome.

Italy's first home game in the 2019 Six Nations rugby tournament takes place at the Olympic Stadium in Rome at 17.45 on Saturday 9 February.

Fans of both rugby teams will be greeted with live music and beer at the Terzo Tempo Peroni Village 2019 in the stadium grounds, with singer Nesli performing after the game.

Six Nations ticket-holders will have free admission to 16 Rome museums throughout the weekend, thanks to the IV Tempo Rugby e Cultura initiative.

For those who wish to watch the weekend's rugby games on the big screen, check out our list of top venues in Rome.

The British embassy to Italy has issued helpful advice and practical information for fans travelling to Rome for the match, including how to get to the stadium.

Italy's next home game will be against reigning Six Nations champions Ireland on 24 February, followed by France on 16 March.
