Discover Rome's secret courtyards

Historic private courtyards in Rome open to public this weekend.

The Lazio branch of the association of historic houses, Associazione Dimore Storiche Italiane (ADSI), provides a unique opportunity to visit 26 of Rome’s most important privately-owned historic homes on the weekend of 18-19 May.

The initiative involves a visit to the inner courtyards of around 400 private palaces and castles - which are usually closed to the public - across Italy.

The visits take place in the presence of ADSI guides as well as the owners of the properties. For full details see ADSI website.
