Celebrity Fight Night comes to Rome

Andrea Bocelli invites stars to Rome for week of charity fund-raising events.
Sir Elton John will be among the guest performers at a private charity fund-raising concert inside Rome's Colosseum on the night of 8 September, as part of the fourth edition of Celebrity Fight Night in Italy.
The guests of the star-studded gala event are in Rome at the invitation of Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, and all funds raised will benefit both the Andrea Bocelli Foundation and the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center.
The Colosseum concert is one of the highlights of a week-long series of events designed to entertain philanthropic donors and special guests including actors Antonio Banderas, Sharon Stone, Sofia Loren and Susan Sarandon, and musicians such as Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler.
The luxury week-long "benefit trip" costs €70,000 and includes VIP dinners and private concerts at Roman palaces such as Palazzo Colonna and Palazzo Doria Pamphilj, as well as a cocktail reception at Palazzo del Quirinale in the presence of Italian president Sergio Mattarella.
Celebrity Fight Night has raised over $132 million for numerous charities throughout its 23-year history.
