6-24 July 2005.
Devotees expect nothing but the finest performances from the Moscow Ballet Company, founded by Russian choreographer and dancer Timar Fayziev in 1989. With over 60 world tours and 1000 shows under its belt, the company now brings two classic ballets to Barcelona: Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty. The former is the story of Prince Zigfrid and Odette, the queen of the swans, which will be performed from July 6-17. The beautiful and poignant story involves a group of young women who spend their days as swans, and a prince who vows to love Odette for all eternity. Sleeping Beauty, a classic story with a unique interpretation by the Moscow Ballet Company, comes to the stage from July 20-24. Composed by Tchaikovsky and choreographed by Marius Petisa, these two classic ballets will be led by Yana Kazantseva and Dmitry Smirnov and 25 other performers.
