Whoever saw Cherkaouis wonderful production at last years Romaeuropa festival will not want to miss this work that was presented recently in Edinburgh for one night only. Tempus Fugit combines physical theatre, performance art and dance and uses significant moments, stories and experiences from the dancers and singers past. These elements are manipulated like a video tape in order to play with our impression of time. The way of life of peoples surrounding the Mediterranean, experiences and music from West Africa, European and Arab cultures all contribute to this exhilirating, large-scale dance piece.
