Pollicino by Hans Werner Henze. 20-24 April 2004. Conducted by Silvano Corsi, directed by Daniele Abbado, with David Angelica, Elisabeth Pasquale, Gabriella Bosco and the Ensemble Strumentale del Teatro dellOpera. Born in 1926 and often seen around Rome, Henze is one of the most prolific and successful contemporary opera composers. His works are written in a variety of forms and styles; however, his liberal political tendencies and his interest in the artists relationship with society are favoured themes.
