23 June-31 Aug 2003. This open-air cinema in the recently cleaned-up and restored square in the Esquilino area is one of the Estate Romanas most popular events. In keeping with tradition, box-office hits from the past season will be shown every night on the large screen, but there is also a space for fringe and independent cinema as well as special events, lectures by film directors, a childrens corner and films in original language. The real novelty is the screening of selected films from the prestigious film festivals of Cannes, Locarno and Venice.
