La Francia si muove. Festival of contemporary dance.

1-3 June 2004. Organised in conjunction with French cultural institutes, this festival at the Auditorium-Parco della Musica explores contemporary dance in France. It actually extends beyond Rome, with 13 French companies and over 120 artists bringing their work to other Italian cities. Opening the dances in Rome (1 June) is a work entitled Solo choreographed by Franois Verret with Rita Quaglia. That same evening, in different parts of the auditorium, graffiti artist Christian Rizzo features in 100% Polyester (repeated 2, 3 June), and Verrets Chantier Musil gives life to an "acoustic and optical landscape in movement". On 2 June, Claudia Triozzi presents Park, in which she interacts with the public, and Boris Charmatz and three other dancers perform Aatt..enen...tionon. The festival ends on 3 June with The show must go on, a work by Jerome Bel with the pop music of 18 hits. Entrance costs 15, and there is a ticket available for all three days at 30.
