English-language theatre group. The Miracle Players, is presenting "The Seven Kings of Rome" against the backdrop of the Roman Forum this summer. Eric bassanesi, born in Australia and raised in Italy, co-founded the group with Denise McNee in 1999, and combines organising productions with acting. As well as writing scripts for The Miracle Players, McNee, from Scotland, has written for British and Italian television. Bassanesi adds "Our plays are rich in Roman history, so there's a chance to learn about then past as well as to enjoy the sight of men and women in togas waving plastic swords.
