Igor Moiseyev was a master choreographer who created a new form of theatrical folk dance in Russia and whose troupe was one of the most popular dance companies of the 20th century. He died in 2007 but his wonderful troupe of fantastic dancers lives on.
In 1936 Moiseyev was appointed dance director of the Moscow Theatre of Folk Art, from which emerged the Soviet Union
