330 Rome-based artists participate in 2019 edition of Rome Art Week.
The fourth edition of Rome Art Week (RAW), the contemporary art festival of free cultural events in Roman galleries and studios, takes place across the capital from 21-26 October.
This year there are 145 participating galleries, academies and cultural institutions, 330 artists hosting studio visits, and 27 well-known curators organising special art events around Rome.
The six-day celebration of art will feature numerous guided tours, with the programme seeing Rome divided into five geographical areas, allowing greater collaboration between galleries, artists and the public.
RAW is an independent, non-profit venture supported by Italy's culture ministry, the city of Rome and the Lazio Region. Its 2018 edition led to the creation of 441 art events and attracted 25,000 people.
