City confirms bottle ban.
The city council department of public safety has reissued a summer ban on take-away sales of drinks in aluminum and glass containers in areas around the city. The ban is intended to curb littering and other forms of alcohol-related public disturbances. The ban takes effect the weekend of 11 July and lasts until 15 September.
