Residents in Italy who miss BBC television can view festive-themed programmes for free every day from 1-25 December via the global BBCiPlayer App. BBC Worldwide announced that the service is available exclusively from the App store as part of a Christmas promotion.

The global BBC iPlayer App is a Video on Demand pilot subscription service available on iPad, which lets viewers in Italy and selected other countries enjoy classic and contemporary British television. The App can be downloaded for free and viewers can access one episode every day until Christmas Day without being required to sign up to a monthly or annual subscription.
