The Canile Comunale della Muratella, which houses around 2,000 abandoned dogs in need of a new home, will be participating in the international pet adoptathon day on Saturday 5 May with non-stop opening from 10.00 until 23.00. The canile will also offer mistreated rabbits for adoption and there will be dog behaviour and pet insurance experts on hand to give advice as well as a chance to meet volunteers for the Lega Italiana Protezione Uccelli (LIPU) wild animal rescue centre in Rome and for the anti-vivisection league. The day will finish with a yoga session and vegan supper in the courtyard (
