The Mercato della Città Ecosolidale, an indoor market in the Ostiense district of Rome, offers a large range of vintage and second-hand items, with proceeds going to charity.

Funds raised at the market go towards Dream, the AIDS prevention and treatment progamme in Africa run by Rome's Comunità di S. Egidio.

The sprawling market, located in three former industrial buildings on Via del Porto Fluviale, offers furniture, clothes, jewellery, toys, kitchenware, books and records.

The market is open on Saturdays from 17.00-19.00 and on Sundays from 16.30-20.00.

Those who wish to donate items can do so on Tuesdays from 10.30-12.30, and on Thursdays and Saturdays from 16.00-19.00.
