20-28 April 2005. In Giselle, choreography by Marius Petipa, with guest artists Darcey Bussell and Roberto Bolle. The company was founded as the first Theatre of Ballet in Russia under the management of the Peoples Artist of Russia, Professor Peter Gusev, in 1966. The company has since passed from the hands of one Peoples Artist of Russia to the next, safeguarding the mastery of the high traditions of Russian ballet over the years. However, the company also aims to extend its repertoire, which today consists of both classical and modern ballets.
