Coppelia at Teatro dell'Opera di Roma
30 Oct-7 Nov. This popular ballet is staged by the Teatro dell'Opera and is conducted by David Garforth to the choreography by Roland Petit. It is set in modern times and was first danced in 1976 by Le Ballet National de Marseille. Garforth, who has made a career as a conductor of ballet, debuted with Roland Petit's Coppelia at La Scala in 1996.
This is the first ballet at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma under the new leadership of Eleonora Abbagnato as the head of the theatre's ballet corps.
