Ash Wednesday Ecumenical Liturgy

Rome's Caravita international Catholic community is holding an Ash Wednesday Ecumenical Liturgy of the Word with Imposition of Ashes, at the Oratory of St Francis Xavier, on Wednesday 18 February at 19.00.

The annual ecumenical tradition, which sees baptized Christians in Rome unite as at the beginning of the Lenten journey, will be presided over by Revd Dr Tim Macquiban, the director of the Methodist ecumenical office in Rome and pastor of the city's Ponte S. Angelo Methodist Church.

Revd Markus Walker, assistant director of the Anglican Centre in Rome, will preach, while the New Chamber Singers choir of St Paul's Within the Walls will also be present.
