Vatican Museums ceiling collapse
Part of a false ceiling has collapsed in the Vatican Museums, damaging furnishings and fittings but causing no harm to people or works of art.
The incident occurred during the night of 7-8 June in the so-called Sala Polifunzionale, or multi-purpose hall, which had been used until just a few days previously to display artefacts salvaged from the April 2009 Abruzzo earthquake in the exhibition Tesori dell
