Rome bus tickets for popes' canonisation

Two million tickets feature images of Popes John XXIII and JPII

Rome transport company ATAC is launching a limited edition set of bus and metro tickets dedicated to the upcoming double canonisation ceremony of Pope John XXIII and Pope John Paul II on 27 April.

The four separate tickets, featuring two images of each pope, go on sale on 10 April and are the same €1.50 price as ordinary bus and metro tickets.

The two million papal bus tickets follow the printing of similar tickets for the beatification of Pope John Paul II in 2011 and the election of Pope Francis in 2013.
