New direct flights from Rome to San Francisco

Norwegian Air offers cheap flights from Rome to US later this year.

Low-cost airline Norwegian Air has launched cheap flights between Rome's Fiumicino airport and San Francisco, beginning on 7 February.

The new route follows the recent launch of the carrier's services between Rome and New York (daily) and Los Angeles (three times a week).

Fares for the new San Francisco service start from €179 one way, including taxes.

The Oslo-based company has been present at Fiumicino since 2007 and, in addition to its three US routes, it offers Rome flights to Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo, and Helsinki.
