Colosseum area closed for Via Crucis

Via dei Fori Imperiali will be closed to traffic on 29 March from 19.00-23.30 to make way for crowds coming to see Pope Francis lead the traditional Good Friday "Via Crucis" ceremony at the Colosseum at 21.15.

The Metro B Colosseo stop will be closed from 18.30. Those wishing to reach the Colosseum area on the Metro B after 18.30 will have to get off at either Cavour or Circo Massimo.

All city buses that normally pass through Via dei Fori Imperiali will be re-routed between 19.00 and 23.30.
