Sponsored walk to raise funds for repair of Anglican church roof

All Saints' Anglican church on Via del Babuino is appealing for donations to help it raise the €100,000 needed to restore and repair the roof of the church.

As part of the fundraising campaign a member of the church council and congregation, Claudio Magoni, is undertaking a sponsored 800-km walk from south-west France to Santiago di Compostella in north-west Spain (725 km away) and then maybe on to Finisterre (800 km) on the western coast of Spain, approximately 45 days later.

Magoni will begin his "Cammina Francese" walk from the Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port in the Pyrenean foothills on 23 April.

The suggested donation for sponsors is €10 per km, with no upper limit, and for as many kilometres as they wish.
