The 12th edition of Umbria Jazz Winter will be hosted by Orvieto, where for five days, concerts and jam session will take place at venues across the city, including the Mancinelli theatre and Emilio Greco museum. The music begins at 11.00 each morning and continues late into the night. The highlights are a New Years Eve dinner and a traditional New Years Day Mass to be held in the cathedral with the participation of a gospel choir. Among the artists appearing at the festival are the Johnny Nocturne R&B Band featuring Miss Dee, Kim Prevost & Bill Solley, the Bill Charlap Trio featuring special guest Harry Allen, and the Ray Anderson Sliphorn Quintet featuring Wycliffe Gordon.
