A silent disco will be held at Rome's MAXXI Museo Nazionale delle Arti del XXI on Friday 25 October.
Music at this silent and surreal disco will be provided by Roman djs while attendees will be provided with special wireless headphones. The free event takes place as part of the sixth edition of This is Rome arts festival, and runs from 21.00 until midnight.
Guests can choose from indie rock, electro, techno, reggae, rap and hip hop, all provided in real time by nine of the most noted djs from Rome's clubbing scene, including Balsamo di scimmia, Execute, Freak&C, Lswhr, One Love Hi Powa, Paradise Lost, The Box, Touch The Wood.
Those interested in participating in Rome's Silent Disco should book their headphones in advance by emailing email@example.com.
On receipt of a confirmation email, guests will be registered and can collect their headphones between 20.00 and 21.00 on the night. After 21.00 any unclaimed headphones will be given to new guests waiting to join the party.
The silent disco phenomenon has already had much success at festivals and clubs across the UK and Australia.
