14-25 Feb. Giorgina Pi directs Settimo Cielo, an Italian adaptation of Cloud 9 by British playwright Caryl Churchill. The first act is set in British colonial Africa in the Victorian era, the second in a London park in 1979. However, between the acts only 25 years pass for the characters. The characters also alternate roles between the two acts. The play uses controversial portrayals of sexuality and obscene language, and establishes a parallel between colonial and sexual oppression. In Italian.
