A resounding success at last years Dublin Theatre Festival, the Abbey Theatre welcomes the Rough Magic production of Improbable Frequency complete with its original cast and band. Set during the Second World War, when Irelands neutral status put it on the front line of the spying business, Improbably Frequency by Arthur Riordan and Bell Helicopter is a merry musical send-up of Ireland's detachment during the grand conflagration that was taking place around it. During those war years, Dublin may have been a playground for Europe's intellectual elites but it was also a focus for espionage on both sides. Following the goings-on at a Dublin radio show that attracts the notice of Britains MI5, a young code-breaker arrives in Dublin to investigate Irelands neutrality, or lack thereof. Tickets cost between 15 and 30 or 9.50 with concessions. All tickets for the Saturday Matinee are 15.
