European Music Festival

21 June. Sicilian singer-songwriter Carmen Consoli performs alongside French indie duo Brigitte at a free concert in Piazza Farnese at 21.00 on 21 June.

The event outside the French embassy is a highlight of the European Music Festival, which features dozens of free concerts around Rome, and coincides with the 60th anniversary of the twinning between the Italian and French capital cities.

Consoli's musical style incorporates elements of rock, alternative pop and folk, and she is known for hit singles such as L’ultimo bacio. Brigitte, comprising Sylvie Hoarau and Aurélie Saada, achieved huge success in France with the 2011 debut album Et vous, tu m'aimes?
