The director of the Salvation Army in Rome is calling for help for the homeless over the winter months. Emanuele Pavoni says around 3,500 people will be homeless in the city this Christmas. All donations, whether food, clothes or cash, are welcome. Items can be left 24 hours a day at the Salvation Army centre in Via degli Apuli 41 (S. Lorenzo area), tel. 064451351.
