New and used book festival at S. Susanna Library

21 Oct-4 Nov. Prices at library's book sale begin at 50 cent.

The S. Susanna Library, Rome's English-language lending library, is holding a new and used book festival from 21 October until 4 November.

The prices of the books will start at 50 cent and all proceeds will go towards the upkeep of the library. The popular book sales always include a good selection of genres including fiction, philosophy, art, travel, cookery and children’s books.

Attached to the parish of the American Catholic Church in Rome, the library has provided a lending service to Rome’s English-speaking readers for over 40 years, and is operated with the assistance of volunteers.

It is located on the second floor of the building to the right of the Church of S. Susanna, and it houses over 20,000 titles. Its categories include literature, art, religion, archaeology, history, travel, cookery and novels, as well as a children’s section containing many out-of-print classics.

The library is open Tuesdays and Thursdays 10.00-13.00, Wednesdays 15.00-18.00, Fridays 13.00-16.00, and Sundays 10.00-12.30. In the event of a transport strike, or an Italian or American national holiday, the library will be closed.

For more information, email library co-ordinator Tonia White at susannalibrary@gmail.com, tel. 392 / 3325383 or see the library’s Facebook page.
