Michelangelo Pistoletto: Ritratti al tavolo del Terzo Paradiso

6 Nov-7 Jan. This new work by Michelangelo Pistoletti is centred around his Third Paradise project which took place at Galleria Mucciaccia in June.

The installation consisted of a tablecloth displaying a leaf-laden mathematical symbol for infinity spread over a table around which 24 people discussed how the human mind finds ways to live in harmony with nature in an evolving world. Afterwards the participants wrote their thoughts on the back of the 12 large mirrors on the walls surrounding the table.

Born in Biella in northern Italy in 1933, Pistoletto is best known as an action painter, object artist and art theorist. He was one of the leading exponents of the Arte Povera movement in the late 1960s.
