Mary McAleese book launch in Rome

Columba Press presents the launch of "Quo Vadis? Collegiality in the Code of Canon Law" by Dr Mary McAleese at Collegio S. Isidoro on Thursday 22 November at 19.00.

The book's Rome launch will be officiated by Míchéal Mac Craith OFM, the head of the Irish Franciscan college off Via Veneto.

McAleese, the former president of Ireland, is currently studying Canon Law at Rome's Gregorian University.

At the book's launch in Dublin in October, McAleese condemned the "dangerous silence" behind the child sex abuse scandals in the Catholic Church. McAleese said the book, which took four years to write, highlights the "fear at the centre of the church".

For more information on the book contact Shane McCoy of Columba Press at shane@columba.ie.
