Lucas Cranach. L’altro Rinascimento.
15 Oct-13 Feb 2011. A retrospective dedicated to Lucas Cranach the Elder, the most important exponent, together with Albrecht Durer, of German painting during the 16th century. The exhibition, which offers a chance to see work by Cranach never seen in Rome before, shows work by the artist, who was steeped in the Flemish tradition but also influenced by Italian art. The 45 works on show, articulated in seven different sections, are from important private and public collections.
