17-23 June. Select restaurants in Rome, Florence and Milan will be serving traditional Japanese cuisine as part of Japan Restaurant Week, from 17-23 June.

The initiative has the support of the Japanese embassy in Rome and is being held to celebrate the 150th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Italy.

The five participating Rome restaurants are Baccano (Via delle Muratte 23, tel. 0669941166), Bistrot 64 (Via Guglielmo Calderini 64, tel. 06.3235531), Plancha (Via Bergamo, 28, tel. 0631072361), Queen Makeda Grand Pub (Via di S.
