1-28 Oct 2009. This internationally renowned opera festival celebrates the composer in his native Parma to coincide with the month of his birth. This year the programme presents the opera productions of I Due Foscari and Nabucco as well as symphonic concerts and a drama section dedicated to Verdi and Shakespeare. Big names in the world of opera to look out for include Leo Nucci, Tatjana Serjan, Dimitra Theodossiou, Giorgio Surian, Svetla Vassileva and Daniela Barcellona as well as conductors Yuri Temirkanov and Donato Renzetti.
