Events at The British School at Rome

A series of interesting events take place at The British School at Rome (BSR) over the coming days.

15 Oct. In Praxis, the third event in Urban Landscapes-Indian Case Studies, the BSR presents the work of the highly-acclaimed Indian architectural practice Studio Mumbai founded by Bijoy Jain in 1995. Jain's lecture at 18.00 is followed by the exhibition opening from 19.30-21.00.

The show runs until 3 November and is open Tues-Sat 16.30-19.30.

On 16 October at 11.00, Jain will hold a workshop meeting for students at the MAXXI Museo Nazionale delle Arti del XXI secolo, on Via Guido Reni 4A.

Also on 16 October, from 10.00-18.30, the BSR hosts a one-day conference entitled Villa Magna: The Afterlife of an Imperial Villa.

From 17 - 19 October Kevin McLoughlin delivers a keynote lecture titled Roman Modernities.


On 23 October at 18.00, Peter Wiseman of the University of Exeter gives a talk entitled Rome on the Balance: Varro and the Foundation Legend.
