BBC World Questions: Public debate in Rome

11 Jan. BBC World Questions comes to Rome to discuss the future for Italy at this key moment in its history, as part of a worldwide initiative by the BBC World Service.

The English-language event, which is staged in partnership with the British Council, will be recorded at the Centro Congressi Piazza di Spagna, on Via Alibert, on 11 January at 18.00.

BBC’s Jonathan Dimbleby and a panel of politicians and opinion-formers quizzed by the audience will discuss Italy’s pressing challenges and what these could mean to the European Union.

The panel includes Sandro Gozi, undersecretary to the prime minister with responsibility for European Affairs; Deborah Bergamini, member of the Chamber of Deputies and spokesperson for Forza Italia; Nathalie Tocci, chief advisor to Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs, and Manlio di Stefano of the Movimento 5 Stelle, who is a member of the Italian Chamber of Deputies.
